I hope i got the Superbowl number right... i think it's 42 if i'm not mistaken hehe Anyway Superbowl 42 was held yesterday; it's the biggest American sporting event (almost on par with Baseball's World Series) , its held annually and this year it was held in Phoenix, Arizona. This year the final's matchup was intriguing because it pited the New York Giants (who has the worst record of all the wildcard teams) against the defending champions, the New England Patriots (who ironically held a 13-0 record - 4th team ever to do it i think LOL). Anyway i caught the pre-match show before heading off to work and they had this segment that defined both teams in one word. The New York Giants were given "Road Warriors" because of their impressive away record (in the playoffs especially) while the Patriots were given the word "Teamwork"; of course this is due to their unbeaten record this season.

The Superbowl is America's most glamorous annual sporting event and this is due to two facts: their ads during the game and their half-time show (remember Janet's b**bgate a few years back lol). Many pundits put the Patriots to win this year's superbowl, of course with them having a perfect 13-0 record plus they're the defending champion, who would've thought otherwise? The match ended 17-14 to the Giants and its New York's third Super Bowl success after wins in 1987 and 1991. The Patriots were actually leading 14-10 with less than three minutes left on the clock. A win for the Patriots would've made it four Superbowl in seven seasons. Anyway with that win, Giant's quarterback Eli Manning followed the footsteps of his older brother, Peyton in keeping a Superbowl MVP award in the family.
